The official trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has been released by Universal Pictures, with the premiere set for December 5, 2025.
They’re not just at Freddy’s anymore.
After the massive success of the 2023 film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s, Blumhouse returns with a darker, deeper sequel. One year has passed since the terrifying events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The truth about the animatronic horrors has become local legend, sparking the town’s first Fazfest.
Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have been keeping secrets from Mike’s younger sister, Abby. But when Abby sneaks out to visit her old robotic friends, a new chain of terror begins. The film dives deeper into the origins of Freddy’s and uncovers a long-buried evil.
The returning cast includes Theodus Crane and Matthew Lillard, with newcomers Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters), and Skeet Ulrich (Scream). Directed again by Emma Tammi and written by Scott Cawthon, this sequel promises more thrills.
Produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, the first movie shattered records with an $80 million opening and nearly $300 million in global earnings.
