Fans of metroidvania games can finally breathe a little easier. Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable at gamescom 2025. Attendees of the event will have a chance to try out a demo version of the long-awaited sequel, which comes eight years after the release of the original Hollow Knight. Known for its distinctive style, gameplay mechanics, and pacing, the first game earned overwhelming praise and currently holds a 95% positive rating on Steam.
The news about the demo surfaced through an official Microsoft announcement detailing the full lineup for their Xbox booth. More than 120 demo stations will be available for visitors, with over 20 projects being showcased by Xbox and its partners.
