With Netflix’s support, a live-action series based on the manhwa Solo Leveling (나 혼자만 레벨업) will be produced. In short, the story follows a young low-rank hunter, Sung Jin-Woo, who has a unique ability to level up and grow stronger.
The adaptation is being handled by Sanai Pictures. The role of the hunter and main character will be played by Korean dorams star Byun Woo-Seok. Production is currently in the early stages, and the series is not expected to premiere before 2027.

It is worth mentioning that the manhwa was previously adapted into an anime series titled Solo Leveling, which closely follows the original story. The first and second seasons aired from January to March in 2024 and 2025 respectively. The third and likely final season is still in production.
The anime series also received recognition and high ratings from both critics and viewers. As a result, Sung Jin-Woo’s adventures became even more popular worldwide.
Solo Leveling is also the first Korean animated series to win in nine major categories at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Anime of the Year, Best Action, and Best Character.
