Over its first weekend, the film earned around 217 million dollars globally on a budget of 225 million. This is considered a strong result that exceeded analysts’ expectations. More than half of the total came from the United States with 122 million dollars. The remaining 95 million was earned in other countries.
Superman also had an impressive debut and is currently in third place among Hollywood releases of 2025. Ahead of it are Lilo and Stitch with 341 million dollars and Minecraft with 313 million.
So, is James Gunn’s DC universe really happening after all?
